Stay the Course

The Devil is afraid of a man whose mind is made up. (Word of the Lord to me in 2017)

The day I received this gem was liberating. I was facing a very tough time. It left me feeling weary and ready to give up on the call of God. These words from the Holy Spirit breathed new life into me. It forced me to refocus. I redoubled my effort. In a very short time the situation changed.

We must have this resolve to win in our walk with Christ and everything we do. We have a real enemy. He hates God’s creation, especially the children of God. He will attack by any means necessary. When God gives you an assignment. He will do everything to stop you. Very seldom will you be confronted directly. Most attacks will come through people. He will use them to distract, delay, frustrate, cause strife and a plethora of things to shift you from your destiny. When you see these things occurring know that he is at work.

James 3:16

For wherever there is jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry and selfish ambition), there will also be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) and all sorts of evil and vile practices.

My friend, resolve that no matter what is thrown at you keep pushing forward. It could be the kitchen sink. Keep going. Resolve never to buckle and give in to the pressure. Did I say it before? Whatever you are facing resolve never to give up. Be determined that you will succeed. Come what may the desired outcome will be attained. Always find a way to win.

While they are plotting and scheming to destroy you, continue being a good steward. Daniel was excellent in his work. That and his heritage as one of God’s people made him hated by other leaders. They hatched a scheme to destroy him. They thought they would catch him at his ‘weakest moment’. When he was on his knees. Little did they know a man on his knees is at his strongest. (That right there is a super power). They knew that not even the king could stop him from worshipping His God, so they planned to use that against him. Little did they know that God defends those who honor him. Guess what happened? Their own plot worked against them. (See Daniel 6). David faced a similar dilemma. At his lowest point he was betrayed by one he held in high esteem. A good friend, confidant and counsellor. (Psalm 55:12-14)

This is a season of unveiling. God is exposing the hearts of those around you. Light has come. Darkness cannot hide. Keep your heart pure in the matter. Leave everything to God. Let Him judge rightly. When you have an enemy in your midst. Do not waste time arguing or fighting the enemy. (Just when I proudly thought I had mastered this, God showed me I had far more to learn).

May I encourage you. Continue to be diligent in your work. Whatever you do do it unto God. Extend kindness. Be gentle. Show mercy, even to your enemy. Leave everything to God. Bless and not curse. God will give you victory.

There is a comeback story that is about to be birthed in some of you. The enemy sent out an ambush. Trusted allies were revealed as enemies but God is about to turn everything around. There is a table that is spread in the presence of your enemies. Wage the good warfare to get to that table. You are about to dine real good!

Psalm 23

1 The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.2 He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.3 He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him—not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake.4 Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.6 Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.
