Welcome to this new series! I am excited to share this message with you. The Holy Spirit was merciful and provided me with this information in answer to my prayers for the saints.
A few years ago, I was taking a very long walk and talking to God. There were many things happening at a church that was very dear to me. The lives of some of the members were in turmoil. The power of God was present in the church. During services there was a great move of the Holy Spirit. What puzzled me was that it did not translate to success in the life of the saints. Once service was over Satan had his way with them. Almost everyone of them would call the Pastor for deliverance. Satan was loose in their home. It baffled me. How could their be such contradiction? Please understand at the time I was very new to the workings of the Holy Spirit. I had just received the fire of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was leading me in delivering others. The attacks that they were having was not happening to me. Why was this happening to them? Some of these people were in church for decades. I looked to them for guidance but realized they had very little to guidance to give. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit I was pouring into them. My little mind struggle to understand. How could people be so gifted and struggle in their personal life?
That day the Lord did not speak to me about each person. He gave me so much more. I was given seven keys for living a radical Christian life. Keys that allow you to walk free from the devices of the enemy.
Satan seeks to destroy us. He is not after your money. He is not after your car, your business or your ear. He is not after your health. He is not after the kids. They are mere casualties of war. He is after your soul. Satan understands that when he strikes you your entire household will fall. The kids will be easy picking. Without a strong spiritual covering they will not resist him. They will be easily snared.
Then Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away because of Me this night, for it is written, ‘I WILL STRIKE DOWN THE SHEPHERD, AND THE SHEEP OF THE FLOCK SHALL BE SCATTERED.’
~ Matthew 26:31
Satan wants your soul to burn for an eternity in hell. He is a deceiver. To get you he has to set traps to ensnare you. Fear not! There is good news.
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.
~ Isaiah 54:17
You can walk in victory over the enemy of your soul. You too can live in freedom. That is why Jesus died to set you free. We are initially freed when we believe on his name and accept him as our Lord ans Savior but we must enforce our freedom. You may be wondering if that is possible. Yes it is! The Bible has many example of people who walked free from Satan. Just examine the life of Abraham, Joseph, Enoch, Moses, Deborah, Elijah, Hosea and many others.
Our Lord Jesus showed us how to be free by how he lived. He was tempted by Satan in the wilderness. Scripture tells us that the Devil waited until he was at his weakest point. He had just fasted for 40 days. He was hungry. His flesh was dying. The instinct for self-preservation was high. So Satan tried to get him to misuse the anointing for his own self-interest. Instead of quickly moving to show how anointed he was the Lord Jesus saw the trap for what it was. He never allowed himself to be goaded. He stood his ground with the Word of God as his weapon Satan. The temptations did not stop immediately. The Devil tried two more times until he realized that it was not working. Then he left with the intention of coming back. Throughout the ministry of Jesus Satan worked against him through the people but Jesus did not fall prey to what was done. When Jesus was ready to lay down his life. He declared that Satan had no influence over him.
I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me. 31 But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do. Arise, let us go from here.
~ John 14:30
You may think, well that is Jesus. he can do that. After all He is God isn’t he? He created everything. That was nothing for him. Well not really. He gave up all his divinity to live and this earth, so that we may be saved by his sacrifice on the cross. If he had retained his divine nature he could not have been killed.
Scriptures presents us with a picture of a man that lived centuries before Jesus was born. Bible Historians believe he lived about the time of Abraham. His name is Job. He was a righteous man. He feared God and did everything to be in right-standing with God. He gave to the poor. He was kind to his neighbors. He always took the opportunity to do good. Because of his heart towards God and his neighbors God blessed every thing that He owned. To ensure he was always safe God placed an hedge around him. The hedge was an invisible barrier around him. Nothing could get through it. It was impenetrable. I know what you are thinking. You must be like wow! Job was the first person to have a force field. You are right. It was very advanced. Not only did he have it. The shield was around his household, his family and everything connected to him. Satan was enraged about it. But he was not giving up. He knew there was only one way that he could touch Job. So when the opportunity came for him to speak to God he petitioned God to remove the force field.
Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”
9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”
12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.”
~ Job 1:10-12
Job went through hell. He lost everything. Even his children. His body was afflicted with sickness and disease. He mind was attacked. His wife begged him to curse God and die. His closest friends turned on him. In all of that he still kept his integrity and did not sin. For his trouble God gave him double. Everything that he lost was restored double.
For a very long time most saints have been in a defensive mode. Many of us have allowed our self to be hammered against the ropes. It is time for us to punch back. In this round, God wants his children to punch back. To effectively fight we must come to maturity of our faith.
This is a time for a new round with the enemy. In this round we take the offensive. We were never meant to be anchored down behind four walls. It is time to be on the offensive. It is time to set the captives free!
To free others we must first be free. We must walk in dominion over the works of darkness. Our life must be free from the influence of the Devil. Please join me as I outline seven keys. That’s 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 keys that are essential for living a ‘healthy’ Christian lifestyle. A life of freedom.
