Be Sensitive

Last year I attended a prayer breakfast. The food was good. The fellowship was even better. We were all united in singleness of purpose. We came to receive answered prayers.

As the prayers went up they were delivered with power. It was obvious that the intercessors had a vibrant prayer life. Our intercessory prayers shook earth and moved heaven.

Praise and worship came midway in the program. The Psalmist pulled us into deep worship. As we pour out our praise the glory of God filled the room. It was so tangible that it was hard to stand. We had to bow.

In that thick atmosphere of the glory, the Lord spoke to me, “I have come in answer to the prayers. I have released deliverance, healing and miracles. There is no need for anymore petitions. They only need to make decrees. It is now time to command!”

The room was full of leaders. Apostles, Bishops, Pastors, Evangelists and ministers were present. It was a ‘who is who’ within that county. Sadly, as soon as the worship ended the moderator continued the prayers. Tears begun flowing from my eyes. I felt the sadness of the Lord. We had missed the move of the Holy Spirit. He had presented an opportunity for us to witness instant answers to our prayers.

I dried my face and walked over to one of the participants in the program and whispered what the Lord had said. “Not my house”, came her response. Her facial expression said, ‘I am not going to mention anything to Host’. Then she turned and continued to listen to the prayers. I turned and went back to my seat.

I felt the burden of the Holy Spirit for the people. He was sad. We had cried, moaned, shouted, ran around, stomped, fallen on our faces and done everything to get the ear of God. When He answered, we were too busy with our program to notice.

It reminded me of the actions of the saints who prayed earnestly for Peter to be freed from Prison. They prayed all night but only one person listened for the answer. God sent and angel to free Peter from prison. He went to where they were gathered to tell them what happened. He knocked several times and only a young girl, Rhoda, heard the indicator to stop praying. She answered and ran to tell them but they did not believe. If Peter had not continued knocking they would have ignored the girl and continued praying. (Acts 12:1-17)

Carpe Diem!

Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.    –Matthew 24:42

We must stay sensitive to the Presence of God. When our worship become singularly focused on Him, the answer will come. It is extremely important that we listen to what God is saying and act on the leading of the Holy Spirit. We must be quick to listen to His voice and slow to speak.

Sensitivity is not developed in public ministry. It comes from dedicated times in prayer and communion with God.

Having concerts, prayer conferences, tent revivals where we have an awesome time as the glory falls but very little manifestation of the power, to loosen the burden of the people, does not advance the Kingdom.

God wants us to come before Him hungry. We must expect Him to respond to every request. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6).

It gives Him great delight when we receive His promises. He is the best Father there is. Like any good Father He wants us to receive all that He has for us. “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” (James 1:17). How do we get it?

Without any ulterior motive we must seek the Kingdom of God. We must seek to know Him with every strength that is within us. It is when we seek the Kingdom of God first that we receive everything that comes with the Kingdom (Matthew 6:33). We often do not receive because we lack knowledge.(Hosea 4:6).

We must expect that as we engage in prophetic intercessions the answer will come. It may take a while but when we continue to travail in prayer, the answer will come. Daniel wrestle in prayer. we release a united sound in the earth realm it gets heaven’s attention. God will answer.

We have become focused on the techniques of prayer, the dimensions from which we pray and the melody of our praise but have not cultivated sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.

After our activities have ceased what matters is His response. It is essential the leader is sensitive to the movement of the Holy Spirit. That person will then be able to speak by Word of Knowledge or prophesy the will of God.

This is the hallmark of all great ministries. Jesus was lead by the Holy Spirit throughout His ministry. At the inception He carried him into the desert to be prepared. When that period was ended He came back full of the power of the Holy Spirit. That power was always present to heal everyone who believed. The Holy Spirit would also reveal the will of the Heavenly Father.

Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.     –John 5:19-20

Katherine Khulman’s ministry produced tremendous results because she was sensitive to the Holy Spirit. She knew what He was doing in the meetings and would boldly declare it. Other Generals in God’s operated in the same manner.

Cultivating Sensitivity

Sensitivity to His presence is not only important in corporate worship. It begins with private worship. We must listen for the response of the Lord to our prayers.

Learn how He speaks. There are several examples of how He may speak in the Bible. Do not limit Him by thinking that you will always hear a still small voice. He may answer by giving you a vision. You may receive an Angelic visitation.

The sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.     John 10:3b

Let nothing stand between you and God. Our concerns can build a wall between us and God. When we become burdened by them. We will not hear Him speaking. Our thoughts will be bombarded by these issues. Practice bringing your concerns to Him. ‘Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you’ (1 Peter 5:7). Jesus Christ bore all your sorrows and grieves. Any challenge you face was nailed to the cross. Empty yourself of them during prayer. Press through. Let it go! Free yourself! Always come away feeling free.

Whenever you pray, always expect that He will answer. Do not pray and walk away. Ensure there is quiet time for listening. Write down what you hear. Test it with the Word of God. (see 1 John 4:1-3).

If you receive directives, move in faith. Act on them!

Updated January 13, 2018 to announce the the move of God to establish a new breed of Prophets -Prophetic builders.

Repairers of the Breach

What is the breach? A breach is the space in a wall. It is also a failure to observe a law, agreement or code of conduct. The breach we currently face is our failure to observe the commands of God. It has created a wall between us and Him.

Man was originally created to dwell in the Presence of God. We were to have daily communion with our Father and Creator. Adam did not pray to the Father. He always had immediate access to the Presence of God. The garden of Eden was a place that the Presence of God dwelt. It was sanctified to and established to maintain the glory of God. Adam dwelt in the glory. Nothing was impossible for Him. It was his guarantee of eternal life. He would communicate every day with The Father as he performed his duties.

Sin ruin that privilege. When Adam sinned he broke the law of God. He lost his authority over the earth. Sin was now able to enter the earth unchecked. On that faithful day man was separated from his Maker by a thin line. The line has since grown into a chasm.

But your iniquities have separated you from your God;
And your sins have hidden His face from you,
So that He will not hear.     –Isaiah 59:2

The distance between us and our Father has become very great. So great that the few individuals who have taken the time to consecrate themselves and paid the price to hear his voice is seen as novel. And sometimes weird. Saints and non-believers struggle to believe their encounters with the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ and/or the angels.

I am surprised that we do not accept these occurrences as our normal. Not new normal. Just normal. We are citizens of the Kingdom of God. The King, is not just our Lord, He is our Father. We are his children. A child always has access to his or her parents. A child must be able to see His Father. All good fathers will want to interact with their children. God desires to communicate with us even more than we want to speak and interact with Him. He wants to rekindle the relations that existed from the dawn of creation.

It is for this very reason that Jesus Christ was sent into the World. He came to restore mankind to our state before the fall.

In this season God is granting a increased divine encounters. He has opened the heavens. Our doctrines and belief must be adjusted to accommodate the move of God. There is a significant shift that is about to overtake the body of Christ that we have never experienced before.

Old practices that have kept us from God’s glory must be discarded. We need a change with the prophetic voices. Believers must be quickly brought to maturity. We have kept them in the state of immaturity and have blocked them from personal experiences with their Father. They must be taught be prophets of their own life. We must teach the saints to make these divine encounters their reality. God will do it because they are curious. He readily welcomes those who seek to do His will. They must also learn to walk in complete obedience to the King of Kings.

School of the Prophets

God is bring change to the Prophets. He is raising up a new breed of Prophets.

We do not have the vocabulary to adequately describe what is being done. As the plans of God unfolds we must be very sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

The Lord has called for the establishment of a school to train prophets with the anointing of Nehemiah. We have begun classes for a small number of individuals whom the Lord has chosen.

Are you interested in answering the call? Stay tuned. Another offering will be made available soon. Classes are free!

Please be watchful. The announcement will be made very soon.

Be blessed!
