Many persons struggle to understand and remember the scriptures. If we only knew how easy it was to recall the scriptures when necessary, we would never spend another day fussing and cramping our brains with passages and passages of scriptures.
God equips us before He uses us. As a matter of fact, He equips us from we were born. However, we need to come to him for what is inside of us (our hidden treasure) to be unearthed. It is the duty of the Holy Spirit to bring out these gifts and to bring the scriptures back to our memory (John 14:26).
To receive assistance, we must present ourselves as yielded vessels. Vessels that only desire to do the will of the Lord. Then invite the Holy Spirit to minister to us, as we read the scriptures. Expect everything you have read to be brought back to your memory by the Holy Spirit. This belief must be backed by a desire in your heart. We must be persistent with our desire and action.
Wrong desires can block the process. The written Word of God was given to guide us in right living and to equip us to minister to others . We must desire this above everything else. It not must not be for our fellow humans to elevate and honour us. The desire must come from a pure place; one that seeks to serve and do the will of the Lord.
The spiritual realm response to our desires and will answer it. To flow in the revelatory gift of the Holy Spirit requires that we abandon fear and doubt. We must also be completely yielded to the control of the Holy Spirit to be able to flow. Then the Holy Spirit will work through us and with us to speak directly to God’s people.
It is His duty to reconcile men to God. He convicts hearts and draws the people to God. All He needs are yielded vessels, that will sets the atmosphere which is conducive for Him to work.
And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.
No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Our desire to receive from God is proven by our diligence and commitment to reading the Word of God (2 Timothy 2:15). Daniel and the other Hebrew boys studied for 3 years before God gave them wisdom and understanding of all things. It was his steadfast commitment to understanding the Word of God that caused him to seek the Lord for the answers regarding prophecies about his people (Daniel 8 & 9). God acknowledged his commitment and responded immediately to the request. He not only responded but sent one of his top-rank General – the archangel Gabriel – to ensure it was delivered.
We now have an even higher Spirit to reveal the scriptures to us. This person is the Holy Spirit. He gave the books of the Bible to all the writers. He knows everything contained in it and will show it to us (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21). All we have to do is spend time communing with Him. Develop an intimate relationship with Him.
In this age, the mysteries of the Kingdom of God are being revealed to God’s children. Things that were hidden from the beginning of time are now being made known. More wisdom is being poured out on God’s servants, by the Holy Spirit, than was given to Solomon. The prophecy of Joel is being fulfilled in this time.
28 “And it shall come to pass afterward
That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions.
29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
However, access to all God has for us will be granted when we submit to his will and spend time in His presence. It is His desire that we know him fully. He wants us to establish a relationship with Him; just as it was with Adam. It must be one of Lordship and fellowship.
We must desire the Word more than food; more than life. He will fill this hunger.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.
The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him,
The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The Spirit of counsel and might,
The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
The Holy Spirit is saying to us today,
“I am understanding. I am wisdom. Before you were formed I laid the foundations of the Earth. I was there in Creation. I am power. I am might. I am revelation. I am the fear and Fire of God. I am here to equip you for your work. Will you yield to Me. Will you allow Me to mold you into the image of Jesus Christ, so that you may walk as He did. So that you may walk in the fullness of My glory. So that I may use you for the Father’s will. If you submit to My love, I will cause you to walk in the fulfillment of your purpose.”
